Cholma, Now with More Cape!

Posted on October 14, 2013 by BrassyDel

Because I drew the lineart for this Cholma piece on bristol board, I ran out of space to really fit the cape in. I barely got the top hand in! So the cape was added after in Photoshop. It took a couple tries to get a shape I really liked, but now I’m super happy with how it turned out….

Fanart Friday: Jamie from Girls with Slingshots!

Posted on October 11, 2013 by BrassyDel

It’s Fanart Friday again! Today I’ve got Jamie from the adorable (but not for kids, should be fine for most older teens) webcomic Girls with Slingshots. GWS is written and drawn by the talented Danielle Corsetto, who’s also written for Adventure Time! Jamie’s probably my favorite GWS character. Evil Cholma, Part II

Posted on October 9, 2013 by BrassyDel

It’s a bit easier to tell our two Cholmas apart, now that they’re in color. Green versus red… the weirdest Christmas special ever? Or just THE BEST?

The Remarkable, Lucky Cholma

Posted on September 30, 2013 by BrassyDel

You may remember Cholma from such exciting tales as The Christmas Caper and Halloween Hijinx, both written by Cho (of StoryTime Fame). If you don’t remember Cholma, it looks like you have some reading to catch up on first! For everyone else, move right along to today’s lineart: Cholma! He’s one tough cookie, and it looks like someone is about…

Repeating Dog Background – Tank!

Posted on September 25, 2013 by BrassyDel

Here’s a shot of the repeating dog pattern that’s currently on the website. It’s Tank, of course, since he adorns everything Studio Brassy-related. I just did some simple sketches in my sketchbook, scanned, did minor cleanup, then arranged them and did a single color overlay. On the site, the background image is actually a transparent .png, so if I felt…
