I’ve been playing with faster coloring methods, like the white and dark red opacity method, but… I don’t like it as much. Yes, it is good enough and it is sure as heck faster. But I really, really like picking just the right colors for shading, especially with hair. And I’m happiest with hair when it’s got 5 different colors…

Cholma, Now with More Cape!

Because I drew the lineart for this Cholma piece on bristol board, I ran out of space to really fit the cape in. I barely got the top hand in! So the cape was added after in Photoshop. It took a couple tries to get a shape I really liked, but now I’m super happy with how it turned out….

It’s done! Cholma in all his technicolor glory. The lineart (ink only) appeared on Monday, then we had flat colors on Wednesday, and now I’m finishing the progressive mini-series today.
