The Swimsuit Edition – Photo Friday

Posted on April 15, 2011 by BrassyDel

Blast from the past, looking forward to summer! This was Pixie’s first time “swimming,” and by swimming I really mean “playing in a swimsuit in a plastic tub of water in the backyard”. Regardless, she loved it. This picture kind of kills me now, because she’s pretty much still a baby here. Now she’s my toddler, and becoming a Big…

Before and After, Baby’s Jammies

Posted on April 8, 2011 by BrassyDel

It was clear from how easily Baby Boy got his feet wedged up in my lungs while simultaneously poking my bladder that he was going to be bigger than little Pixie was. I was afraid that he would be too big to ever get to wear my favorite gender-neutral newborn jammies handed down from his big sis, so we took…

Tank and Matti Go Swimming – Friday Photo

Posted on April 1, 2011 by BrassyDel

It’s almost Summer! I mean, sure, we just officially started Spring, but that’s still closer to Summer than Winter was. One of our favorite dog parks is up in Lafayette because there are usually more conscientious owners (less poorly behaved or aggressive dogs) and they even have a pond. It’s not a huge park, but it’s big enough and fenced…

A Grizzly Friday Photo

Posted on March 25, 2011 by BrassyDel

Is it summer yet? Because I’d like to go swimming again. Probably not with this Grizzly Bear or anything, just in general.

Baaaaaaa! Friday Photo

Posted on March 18, 2011 by BrassyDel

Those of you who are professional photographers, or even just intermediate hobby photographers, may be sick of my photo posts. You may be excused. For everyone else, here’s a Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep! I really like the color contrast on this one. It’s not really the best for showcasing the sheep itself, but too bad. I like it. I would…

Guess The Species: Friday Photo

Posted on March 11, 2011 by BrassyDel

Being a twit, I took this photo at the Denver Zoo and didn’t bother to even check the animal information sign in front of this guy’s habitat. It’s a fox, duh. We see those little cuties running around here all the time. A few weeks ago, I was visiting at my mum’s (Gramma’s) house and I said, “Oh, neat! There’s…

Penguins! Friday Photo

Posted on March 4, 2011 by BrassyDel

Penguins! We’ve been watching a bit of Pingu on Netflix with Pixie lately, so now seems as good a time as any to share these photos from our previous Denver Zoo trip. D’awww, my dog scritches like this too.

Friday Photo: Flamingos and Their Tiny Observer

Posted on February 11, 2011 by BrassyDel

I love the little vignette these photos tell, and I don’t think I can add much else to it. Except, maybe, that I can’t wait to take her back to the zoo. She knows so many animal sounds and names now that I’m sure it’ll be a very exciting trip.

Friday Photo: Kitties are Delicious

Posted on February 4, 2011 by BrassyDel

Pixie, probably contemplating hunting down Kitten or Willis (by the tail). Om nom nom! If a plush kitty is so delicious, just think about those ones that move around on their own and make all those purring and meowing sounds!

Friday Photo: Pixie at the Zoo Gift Shop

Posted on January 28, 2011 by BrassyDel

Is there a cuter baby ever? NO, NO THERE IS NOT. I took this photo back in May at the Denver Zoo in one of the small satelite gift shops. She did not wind up bringing either of those plushies home, but she certainly got other toys at the big gift shop before we left (and a book!).
