Attention Seeking Behaviours

Posted on October 19, 2010 by BrassyDel

This is a repeat from waaaayyyy back in 2005. I’ve had a few requests for old journal comics I did since I had to basically slash-and-burn my gallery so they’re no longer available. From now on, I’ll be categorizing journal comics and other little bonus comics as both Sketch Blog and as Journal Comics, so you’ll be able to go…

Goo!

Posted on October 18, 2010 by BrassyDel

More simple, stamp-inspired doodling. Also: babies are awesome! Especially when they giggle, but maybe less so when they are teething. And don’t even get me started on babies who are trying to cut three-plus teeth all at once AND are ridiculously sick with a vomit-crazy stomach bug. NOT THAT I’D KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THAT.

Beach Bum Bikinis

Weather.com suggests that today is going to be the last warm-ish day here for awhile (high of 74 Farenheit predicted), so enjoy some bikini art.

Shoes!

Here I was playing around with some hatching and pointilism techniques, which I used to be pretty good at but am now way out of practice on. Terribly, horrifically, unfortunately out of practice on. She looks a little cheeky. She’s drawn from some ad in a magazine, though the model in the photo was certainly not so cheeky.

Background Studies: Backyard with Bunnies

Posted on October 12, 2010 by BrassyDel

Your typical suburban wood-slat fencing and some shrubbery. Whilst bunnies are cute and fluffy, don’t get the wrong idea. I don’t really like bunnies. I’m highly allergic to them and there’s a neighborhood bunny that sits in our front yard and taunts our Tank with his fluffy, fluffy bunny butt. The dog just sits at the front window and whines…

Background Studies: Chain-link Fencing

Posted on October 11, 2010 by BrassyDel

2 of 3: chain-link fencing. Note: always keep your doggies contained! Doggies that roam are often doggies that get hit by cars.

Background Studies: Iron Fencing

Posted on October 10, 2010 by BrassyDel

Slightly whimsical wrought iron fencing with brick post. Right now I have a set of three of these and this is the first. Hint: tomorrow and the next day will be more background thingies.
