I have not driven myself anywhere in weeks. I haven’t been technically forbidden by the doc to drive or anything, but since I’ve been having these painful, random, extremely distracting contractions for so many weeks, it seemed wise not to drive. Those of you who have not been in labor before can think of these as little uterine earthquakes: no warning, AND REALLY DISTRACTING. So: I don’t drive for now.
You’re welcome.
It’s a little frustrating not being able to just hop in the car and get the heck outta this house some days, but for most of the last two months I was laid up in bed anyway. Where did I have to go? Nowhere. (Well, except the ER. Apparently. And I’d strongly prefer not to go back, plzkthx.) So, on the good days now I’m able to walk around, and sometimes I can get a friend or my mum to take me (and Pixie) out to the grocery store or Target or somewhere like that. That’s right. I’m one of those people. I look forward to excursions to TARGET!
Not just Target, guys. TARGET! You have to let your eyes light up and your hands express the JOY! That is! TARGET!*
It’s bright, it’s colorful, it’s neatly organized, and you can buy darn near anything… that you probably didn’t need in the first place. But that’s okay, because it was probably “affordable,” which is fancy-talk for “Dude, I just found a way to justify wasting more money!” Sort of like when something you weren’t going to buy is on sale. It’s ON SALE, GUYS! How can you say no?
Anyway. That’s what else I’ve been up to. Sitting around waiting for other people to have time in their busy lives to come take the gimp preggo out so she doesn’t go 100% insane.
How about you? Been anywhere cool lately? Or maybe you’re a Target fan too?
*Note: I’m not some kind of Target affiliate or campaign blogger or anything like that. The only relationship I have with the company is the one where they sell me things and I give them money.
I can’t believe my brother didn’t tell me you’re pregnant again!!! Congratulations!
