Winter Warriors is one of those small projects that I’ve come to look forward to every year. The prompt for 2016 was “something bear warrior?” and “also, like, a penguin!” which lead to one of my favorite art pieces I’ve ever made, commission or otherwise. Winter Warriors XII’s illustration was a large scale pen and ink drawing, cleaned up in photoshop and vectorized for print on shirts and golfing discs, of a warrior riding an armored bear with her armored penguin companion somewhat precariously perched behind her. This year, they also had a series of mini discs printed, so players received their shirts, a large disc with the full art piece, and three different sized minis, one featuring the bear, another the warrior, and the third her penguin friend.
