Sometimes I just draw pictures for you guys, and sometimes I write weird little posts. I worry that I should just stick to the pretty pictures, but I keep toying with the whole “Mommy Blog” thing because I actually enjoy reading that kind of blog. I like crafty stuff, DIY stuff, housekeeping tips, kid activities, and especially funny parenting articles like Dooce (and funny non-parenting blogs like Cracked and The Bloggess). I also like to think that I’m pretty funny, occasionally, but on the rare events when I’m out interacting with the world and real live people in it, I find I get a lot of concerned looks when I start talking.
Sadly, the only way to hone a skill, be it telling jokes about baby’s weird poops or doing something more traditionally “successful” like astrophysics, is you have to do it a lot, and usually fail pretty badly for awhile.
So, yeah. That’s apparently my top-notch self-marketing plan right there.
