Problem solving and laziness are often at odds. If you’re going to solve your predicament and still maintain a minimal level of effort, you’re going to have to make some compromises. Namely: effectiveness.
The key here is a big fuss with little or no actual action. That’s right; we’re talking about whining! Much maligned by society at large, whining serves a vital purpose. How else can you address a problem, any problem, and feel like you made some progress without actually doing anything. You can’t.
So next time you don’t feel like tackling an issue head on, call your mother. Vent on Facebook. Bonus points if it’s vague and cryptic so no one else knows what you’re on about. Or even better: write a blog post.
