In general, I don’t think Pixie really has a concept of holidays yet. As holidays go, though, I think Easter may be her favourite. Easter celebrations for her involve some of her very favorite things.
First: BALL! Except there aren’t really balls. They’re plastic Easter eggs. Oh, except for the plastic ball pit type balls that Grandma has in her yard. Those went in her easter basket too. Which brings us to:
Second thing: A basket! A thing which you put other things into! And it’s even toddler carrying sized.
Third: Outside! Dirt! Rocks! Grass! Dandelions! Bugs! BEST. PLACE. EVER.
I could probably go on, though most of the other Awesome Things are the same as other holidays. Going to Grandma’s, being given chocolate IN HER WHITE CARDIGAN, having Daddy AND Momma all day, and playing with her cousins.
All in all, it was a good holiday. We managed to get out of the house with both kids without too much hassle. It was just immediate family, and nobody had any meltdowns. At least, not that I recall. Thank you, Zoloft!
Let’s see what she thinks of birthdays in a few weeks! 🙂
