Yesterday we got only a small amount of snow, but the weather conditions were just perfect for Mother Nature to issue a big, laughing, one-finger gesture to all of the rush hour drivers in Boulder (which included The Hubbles). He stayed at a friend’s house, who lives about 5 minutes from The Hub’s work, and yet it still took over half an hour to get there.
With the exception of a certain dumb, damned brown dog, the rest of us had a quiet evening at home*, and were even brazen enough to turn the thermostat up to a whopping 64 F. Talk about spoiled!
The front walk has since been shoveling, but I did discover this afternoon that we apparently had a visitor at some point! I’m pretty sure those are little kitty paws, which makes them adorable, as opposed to little bunny paws, which would make them irritating. Since my cats don’t go outside unless it’s to haul their fat, meowing little bottoms to the vet, I can be sure the prints weren’t left by one of them. I have seen a couple of different feline visitors over the last few months though, and at one point Kitten was sitting in the front window and a grey tabby was sitting with him, just on the opposite side of the glass, on the outside ledge. Maybe they are pals? Hard to tell with cats…
*Not to imply that said brown dog was not present, merely that he was not contributing to the quiet aspect of the evening.
