1. Do they let you pet the elephants there? I remember visiting a zoo in either San Diego or the San Francisco area, and you could the pet an elephant. I have a photo of that somewhere.

   • Nope, no petting elephants there.

2. The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs used to let us feed the giraffes. I haven’t been there in ages, so I don’t know if they still do it or not. If they do, you should go check it out….it’s stupidly fun for a kid to have a huge purple tongue come take a cracker out of your hand.
