Menu planning! I’m trying to cut back drastically on our grocery expenses, and the best way to do that is to plan ahead and then stick to it. I don’t really need to plan ahead for breakfasts and lunches, since that’s generally things like oatmeal, cold cereal, sandwiches, fruit, etc.
For dinners this week, I’m planning to use what we’ve already got. My goal is to not have to buy any more groceries this week.
Monday
Restaurant leftovers – Hubbles and I almost never go out, but his mother is visiting and she took us out last night.
Tuesday
My homemade soup with rice and shredded cheese, might throw in some shredded chicken leftovers too.
Wednesday
Pork chops, mashed potatos, and broccoli.
Thursday
Homemade BBQ chicken pizza (which will be eaten while watching Bones!)
Friday
Leftovers.
Saturday
Halibut, yams, carrot.
Sunday
Turkey chorizo frittata.
