I’m participating in the Body After Baby Challenge over at the Mama Notes blog. The Challenge lasts for 8 weeks and each week there is an individual mini challenge. Not having participated before, I was really afraid of the first challenge. What was it going to be? How many push-ups can you do? (Does one-half count?) How many miles can you run? (HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.)
Turns out, the first challenge is how many glasses of water can you drink in the next week. Sweet! That is so my kind of challenge. I should admit here that I drink a lot of water. Not only do I live in a dry climate (Colorado), but I’m nursing full time (requires lots of extra water), and I don’t normally drink much besides water (okay, water and coffee*).
I’m sure the following challenges will be more difficult, but for now I’m feeling pretty good about this week. I have those five last, stubborn baby pounds to go, plus the weight I was already carrying before having Baby H, so we’ll see by Thanksgiving (8 weeks from now) how far I can get. Wish me luck!
*By “coffee” I mean chocolate-flavored coffee creamer and a dash of coffee.
